Paula Robeson

Paula Robeson, RN, BN, MScN Director, Research & Knowledge Mobilization, Children’s Healthcare Canada Paula provides strategic leadership to an expanded and modernized SPARK knowledge mobilization (KMb) program at Children’s Healthcare Canada. In this capacity, she developed SPARK: Impact, a successful KMb consultation and support service for child health and health system researchers. She is widely recognized for having pioneered the role of knowledge broker in the Canadian public health sector as a Knowledge Broker & Research Associate with Health Evidence, McMaster University. She has been a certified KMb professional since 2004. Paula has developed and managed integrated KMb teams, networks, and partnerships in child and youth health and healthcare; mental health, substance use, and addiction; and public health organizations across Canada. In addition, she developed and implemented an organizational Knowledge Mobilization and Evaluation Framework to guide practice, program, policy, and talent development as Associate Director, Canadian Centre on Substance Use and Addiction. Paula is passionate about integrated KMb and evidence-informed decision-making and keen to assist healthcare professionals, organizations, and networks in sharing evidence from research, health system leadership, policy, practice, and lived/living experience. Paula is also a registered nurse, who earned a BN from Memorial University and MScN from Ottawa U.
