The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario works with physcians in practice to promote and support life-long learning. We are currently seeking a uniquely skilled individual to join our team in the Quality Management Division as: Education Liasion. This person will work with internal and external stakeholders to: create educational resources to meet identified physician learning needs; Determine whether external course providers/instructors meet the requirements for ‘CPSO-recognition’ and prepare reports for Education Committee; Support Committees and Medical Advisors in creating individualized education plans for physicians; Develop and maintain an inventory of College recognized education resources; Collaborate with other College departments (e.g., Policy) to develop and implement mechanisms to ensure course providers continue to meet criteria for ‘recognition’; Contribute to creating systematic data tracking mechanisms to capture an aggregate overview of College-observed physician educational needs and outcomes; analyse and report on trends; Maintain an in depth understanding of the CME/CPD environment in Ontario; Lead knowledge translation initiatives with College staff and assessors
Qualifications:A Masters in education and several years experience in adult education and knowledge translation or a combination of relevant education and experience in the health and/or regulatory sectors. Additional knowledge and skill regarding web-based networking and collaboration tools a must. Candidates should understand the role of a regulatory body and its strategic emphasis on assisting and educating its membership. The position requires superior oral and written communication, interpersonal and persuasion skills.
