Senior Specialist, Knowledge Resource Management Provincial System Support Program, CAMH

Position Description:
CAMH’s Provincial System Support Program (PSSP) works with communities, service providers and other partners across Ontario to move evidence to action to create sustainable, equitable, system-level change. With offices in Toronto and across the province, PSSP is on the ground collaborating with partners to build a better system through our work in implementation, knowledge mobilization, evaluation, data management, health equity and lived-experience engagement.

Reporting to the Manager, Knowledge Mobilization, the Senior Specialist, Knowledge Resource Management will play a key role in supporting the Knowledge Mobilization portfolio within PSSP, to fulfill identified knowledge mobilization priorities across Ontario’s mental health, substance use, and addictions system. The Senior Specialist, Knowledge Resource Management (KRM) will provide guidance to the KMb portfolio for both the strategic curation and creative dissemination of diverse KMb resources. They will lead and support the development of high-quality systems and processes for routine resource management and renewal. The Senior Specialist, KRM will guide the design and implementation of processes for KMb resource classification, appraisal, and renewal. They will work collaboratively with a multi-talented project team to develop innovative dissemination strategies and KRM solutions that enhance knowledge sharing and resource discovery, across diverse populations. The Senior Specialist KRM will have a strong aptitude for leveraging diverse technological tools to develop creative and accessible solutions for information management. The Senior Specialist, KRM will ensure exceptional project management across multiple and diverse KMb initiatives. Notably, they will have the capacity to apply their strong working knowledge of diverse research methodologies to supporting high-quality synthesis research relevant to KMb priorities. The Senior Specialist, KRM candidate will apply their exceptional verbal and written editorial skills, to monitor quality and clarity of KMb resources. The Senior Specialist, KRM will collaborate with the equity team and diverse interest groups and subject matter experts to support innovative and equity-centred development in order to ensure the accessibility and uptake of digital resources across the mental health landscape.

Qualifications:
The successful candidate must have a strong academic background in Information Sciences. Expertise related to user-centred information management, metadata schemas, or information sharing theories and frameworks is a strong asset. The successful candidate will hold a Master’s degree in Information Sciences OR a relevant Bachelor’s degree along with five (5) years’ related experience working in a similar role. They will have exceptional project management skills with demonstrated experience working with researchers within an academic and/or health systems environment. They will have sound working knowledge of diverse research methodologies and demonstrated experience executing reviews or synthesis research. The successful candidate will also have excellent verbal and written editorial skills, and a keen editing eye. They must possess strong collaborative skills along with the capacity to support innovative and equity-centred activities that will optimize the accessibility and uptake of digital resources. Success in this role will require proactive problem solving, and sophisticated conceptual/critical thinking skills, that are underpinned by a strong aptitude for reading academic literature. Proficiency in diverse web-based tools, referencing and evidence review tools, Adobe and MS Office software is required, as is the capacity and interest to adopt new and innovative tools. The successful candidate must be able to both work independently and collaborate effectively with team members, and external partners/clients. Demonstrated commitment to principles of equity, inclusivity, respect and cultural competence is required. Bilingualism (French/English) and/or proficiency in a second language are assets.
