Senior Knowledge Broker at Greo

ROLE OVERVIEW:

Greo is seeking a highly motivated Senior Knowledge Broker to join our team. The successful candidate will work across the organization to support stakeholder-informed and evidence-based policies, programs, and practices within the health and wellbeing sectors.

Developing evidence-based content and engaging with stakeholders is crucial to the success of Greo. Together, well-conceived content and facilitated engagement help identify stakeholder and sector opportunities to strengthen evidence-based action. Reporting to the Stakeholder Engagement Lead, the primary responsibilities of this role include:

  • Developing content for knowledge products and learning events (e.g., evidence briefs, learning resources, presentations, etc.)
  • Providing outreach, coordination, and facilitation support for stakeholder engagements (e.g., knowledge exchanges, collaboration opportunities, etc.)
  • Management of the systems to support stakeholder engagement (e.g., stakeholder database, engagement process flows, event platforms, etc.)

QUALIFICATIONS:

Core competencies

  • Domain knowledge of health and wellbeing issues, public health, behavioural addictions and regulated activities (e.g., gambling, cannabis), mental health, and/or digital wellbeing.
  • Engage and develop relationships with stakeholders over time to identify and mobilize opportunities for impact.
  • Work with stakeholders to understand and articulate needs, and translate and communicate complex topics in a variety of forums.
  • Present to and discuss content with diverse stakeholder groups through digital and in-person events and engagements.
  • Generate, synthesize, and critically appraise evidence to develop written content to embed in knowledge products.
  • Collect, organize, analyze, interpret, and report on data.
  • Work collaboratively with key internal and external leaders, partners, vendors, and clients.
  • Work independently, take initiative, and contribute meaningfully to team projects.
  • A flexible, growth-mindset capable of changing focus or priorities based on sometimes changing business needs and priorities.
  • A natural relationship builder with demonstrated stakeholder engagement experience.
  • Desire to remain current with best practices in stakeholder engagement and knowledge translation as well as public health approaches to complex health and wellbeing issues.

Language requirements and proficiencies

  • This position is ‘English essential’.
  • While French is not essential, priority will be given to candidates with French language capacity, preferably high proficiency—written and oral—at the time of hiring.
  • Additional languages are also an asset. Priority will be given to candidates fluent in more than one language.

Desired experience

  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with evidence synthesis and knowledge product development.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience facilitating stakeholder engagement and knowledge mobilization.
  • Demonstrated experience working with and web-based content management systems, and software as service tools (e.g., Mailchimp, Typeform, Webinar Platforms, CRM, etc.).
  • Demonstrated experience with proposal writing for project funding/grants.
  • Proven ability to work on confidential and sensitive projects.
  • Demonstrated oral communication, networking, and public presentation experience.
  • Demonstrated written communication skills and experience, with the ability draft clear and compelling content and adjust tone for different audiences and purposes.
  • Experience working in multiple languages is desirable, though not required
