Reporting to the Manager and Director of the Centre for Studies in Aging and Health (CSAH) and the Division of Geriatrics, the Research Coordinator provides support and coordination to research and evaluation activities in aging and health care services within Southeastern Ontario. This includes coordination of: grant applications, project activities, evaluation and reporting. The Research Coordinator must be a skilled communicator able to demonstrate flexibility, efficiency and diplomacy when working with internal and external stakeholders.
Role Responsibilities
- Demonstrated commitment to the Mission, Vision, Values, Ethics and strategic directions of Providence Care
- Demonstrated experience in the preparation, documentation and publication of program evaluation and research materials
- Demonstrated knowledge and awareness of best practice and healthcare evaluation as it relates to
individuals with geriatric healthcare needs - Familiarity knowledge translation and exchange strategies
- Knowledge and experience in coordinating research and evaluation strategies linked to needs of older adults
- Demonstrated ability to access and synthesize evidence-based literature into common language
- Knowledge skills and expertise in qualitative and quantitative methodologies associated with field
evaluation of health services and education - Demonstrated ability to create an inclusive and welcoming environment that values each individual; respects their values, preferences and unique abilities; and mitigates against the experience of stigma
- Demonstrated interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills and ability to demonstrate tact and diplomacy with diverse groups of stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to effectively work independently with proven reliability and trustworthiness
- Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work effectively, manage a full work-load and meet
deadlines in a busy environment with frequent interruptions - Bilingual in French and English language, preferred
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters in Health Sciences or related fields with experience in quantitative and qualitative evaluation and research methodologies or equivalent experience
- Minimum of two (2) years related experience in a health care research environment
