David has contributed his personal story of how he became a knowledge broker. I think that the concept of empathy that he brings up is an important and under explored concept that may be part of a larger discussion we might want to have. This reminds me that in classic Greek education we studied logos, teknos, pathos, and ethos. For some reason in our “modern” push we over emphasized technique and logic, perhaps at the expense of ethics and empathy. Does the increase in knowledge brokering mean we are learning to bring these concepts back into the equation.
