Dear Colleagues,
On behalf of the KT Program at St. Michael’s Hospital, we would like to remind you about a new capacity building opportunity in the practice of knowledge translation (KT) and implementation.
The KT Program at the Li Ka Shing Knowledge Institute, St. Michael’s Hospital is offering the Practicing Knowledge Translation (PKT) course, an intensive training program in KT that focuses on teaching best practices in high-quality implementation.
This course moves beyond end-of-grant and research dissemination models of KT to strengthen participant capacity in the implementation of evidence – a purposeful approach to effecting change in a meaningful and significant way. The ultimate goal of the PKT course is to enable participants to lead, support and teach KT at their home organizations. The course is aimed at professionals who are looking to specialize in the implementation of evidence and seeking to build organizational capacity for KT.
The first term starts in September 2015, and will be completed in February 2016.
Please refer to the PKT Course Description Sept 2015 for specific information regarding the structure of the course, session components and schedule for the upcoming term.

*Please note, our original deadline for receiving applications was Friday July 31, 2015, however, since we have received requests for extension, we are now accepting applications till Friday August 7, 2015.
**If you are pending financial approval from your organization, we recommend that you indicate this in your application so we have an opportunity to begin the review process while you are waiting for financial approval.
