Mobilizing Science Knowledge & Research in the 21st Century: An NCE Sharing of Best Practices Symposium

January 26-29, 2015

Halifax Marriott Harbourfront Hotel

NCE researchers are asked to report their knowledge mobilization (KMB) activities every year, yet we recognize the lack of formal KMB training and education. To meet this need, MEOPAR will host a Mobilizing Science Knowledge and Research (KMB) Symposium designed by staff from some of the 48 Canadian Networks of Centres of Excellence for all NCE Highly Qualified People (HQP), their principal investigators (PIs) and staff. Non-NCE interested participants, practitioners of science knowledge mobilization, transfer, exchange and brokerage are welcome to attend.

Objectives

  • Provide networking opportunities for NCE KMB/transfer/exchange/broker staff, HQPs and principal investigators
  • Provide KMB, transfer, exchange and brokerage training for all NCE HQPs
  • Educate NCE PIs about KMB
  • Share best practices, case studies, experiences with and resources for science-based KMB
  • Identify opportunities for the NCE science research community to contribute to the KMB literature in which they would not normally publish

A draft program is now available.
