Knowledge Translation Officer – Brock University

The Jack and Nora Walker Canadian Centre for Lifespan Development Research (the Centre) is a multidisciplinary collaborative effort dedicated to studying human development across the lifespan, with special strengths in childhood and adolescence. The Centre involves over 60 faculty members representing Social Sciences, Applied Health Sciences, Education, and Humanities, as well as 40 community agencies, who collaborate to investigate psychological, social, health, neurophysiological and educational aspects of life from infancy to old age.

Reporting to the Director and Associate Director, the Knowledge Translation Officer meets with community members, on and off-campus, to communicate information on the variety of research being conducted by the Centre’s members. The Knowledge Translation Officer utilizes knowledge of the Centre’s research to build and maintain research alliances between the community and the Centre. The Knowledge Translation officer will constantly engage with the Centre’s researchers to summarize research activities for a general audience, and make these summaries available to the public and other researchers.
