KTECOP Gets New Grant from CIHR!

The Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) has approved our recent application entitled “Sustaining a Knowledge Transfer and Exchange Community of Practice: Linking Science and Practice”.  The Meetings, Planning, and Dissemination competition saw 115 applications, of which 34 were funded.  Our application ranked 6th – woohoo!

The grant funds us to do the following:

  1. Bring the latest KT and implementation science research to our members through 7 new meetings.
  2. Build the social networking capacity of the COP.
  3. Nurture and mentor new KT practitioners.
  4. Nurture new KTECOP offshoots in other cities ( a nod here to our brothers and sisters in Ottawa and Vancouver… Hamilton here we come!)
  5. Evaluate the effectiveness of our COP and identify barriers and facilitators to sustainability.

More details to follow.

Congratulations team!  Looking forward to another year of great conversations!
