The Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) has approved our recent application entitled “Sustaining a Knowledge Transfer and Exchange Community of Practice: Linking Science and Practice”. The Meetings, Planning, and Dissemination competition saw 115 applications, of which 34 were funded. Our application ranked 6th – woohoo!
The grant funds us to do the following:
- Bring the latest KT and implementation science research to our members through 7 new meetings.
- Build the social networking capacity of the COP.
- Nurture and mentor new KT practitioners.
- Nurture new KTECOP offshoots in other cities ( a nod here to our brothers and sisters in Ottawa and Vancouver… Hamilton here we come!)
- Evaluate the effectiveness of our COP and identify barriers and facilitators to sustainability.
More details to follow.
Congratulations team! Looking forward to another year of great conversations!
