Program Officer, Knowledge Transfer Initiatives – AIHS

What We Need
AIHS is seeking candidates for the newly established position of Program Officer, Knowledge Transfer Initiatives (KTI) reporting to the Director of KTI this position will be responsible for supporting the development of the AIHS Knowledge Transfer (KT) plan and managing the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of KTI programs and projects.

Specific Responsibilities and Duties
• Advise on trends, issues and opportunities in KT to inform KTI strategic planning.
• Contribute to the KTI strategic and operational plans.
• Develop and implement initiatives to further evidence-informed decision making.
• Establish and maintain networks of key players involved in knowledge transfer; Cultivate relationships and identify opportunities for partnerships and collaborations.
• Manage the Research Transfer Network of Alberta (RTNA) advisory committee.
• Provide KT expertise and support on KT research and projects.
• Conduct and review environmental scans and literature reviews.
• Manage KT staff and resources to ensure timely delivery of KT projects and initiatives.
Requirements
• Masters degree in health, social sciences or a related discipline and at least three years experience in knowledge translation, knowledge management or related discipline is preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
• Experience managing multi-tier projects and resources.
• Intermediate skill in Microsoft Office software.
• Basic database and data management skills.
Assets
• Experience in developing and managing new relationships and partnerships.
• Experience conducting literature reviews and environmental scans.
• Knowledge of the health system and health research environment in Canada.
