About the Knowledge Translation Professional Certificate (KTPC™)

Advance your career in knowledge translation (KT) with KTPC™, a leading professional development course designed for KT practitioners and professionals whose work involves significant KT activities.

Offered by the Knowledge Translation Program at the The Hospital for Sick Children’s (SickKids) Learning Institute, KTPC™ is fully accredited by the Continuing Professional Development Office at the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Medicine and recognized by Accreditation Canada as a Leading Practice.

What to Expect:

The curriculum focuses on the core competencies of KT work in Canada, as identified by a survey of KT practitioners, including KT planning, theories and frameworks, implementation, and evaluation. The course balances theory and practical application, and we invite active participation by employers and mentors to help build an organizational culture that supports KT. By the end of the course, participants will have developed a comprehensive, work-relevant KT Plan.

Hosted three times a year (March, June, and October), KTPC™ includes 39 hours of contact time, including instruction, active learning, coaching, and consultation with a variety of expert faculty. Each session is open to a limited number of participants.
