Knowledge Mobilization Manager – Ontario CLRI at Baycrest

The Ontario Centres for Learning, Research and Innovation in Long-Term Care (Ontario CLRI) at Baycrest has an opportunity for a Knowledge Mobilization Manager.

Temporary full-time (2-year contract)
70 Hours Bi-weekly | Non-Union | Day shifts

Reporting to the Director, Ontario CLRI at Baycrest, the primary role of the Manager is to co-lead the coordination, implementation, and evaluation of knowledge mobilization activities in support of the Preceptor Resource and Education Program for Long-Term Care (PREP LTC) in collaboration with the PREP LTC Program Manager and Evaluator. The Manager will also facilitate the integration of PREP LTC with the broader Ontario CLRI Program. The Manager must have excellent skills in communication, team building, networking, relationship-building, facilitation and negotiation, and project management.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop, implement, and evaluate internal and external integrated knowledge mobilization strategies and corresponding processes, in in line with the needs of the Ontario CLRI, and key stakeholders
  • Work with the project team to co-develop, implement, and evaluate knowledge translation products (handbooks, toolkits, manuscripts, abstracts, posters, slide decks, etc., capacity-building initiatives, communities of practice, and/ or training opportunities)
  • Supervise and mentor knowledge broker and project assistant roles situated at Ontario CLRI at Baycrest
  • Support the facilitation and development of networks, collaborators, advisory councils, and partners for the purpose of adoption of Ontario CLRI and project-specific resources
  • Collects and summarizes targeted key performance indicators related to knowledge mobilization for the purpose of measuring performance and impact, and reporting to funders and stakeholders
  • Work with communications and marketing teams to develop and implement social media strategies for dissemination of plain language summaries and other knowledge products
  • Engages knowledge users throughout the life cycle of projects and initiatives to identify knowledge needs and gaps, develop and implement plans in response, and iteratively improve tools and resources based on feedback
  • Provide analysis of provincial stakeholder perspectives, and emerging research specific to long-term care
  • Providing specialized consultation to long-term care homes and stakeholders to facilitate the implementation of tools, resources and products

Qualifications include but are not limited to:

  • A minimum of five years’ experience in knowledge mobilization, implementation science, stakeholder engagement, communications, adult education
  • Master’s degree in a relevant discipline
  • Specialized training in knowledge mobilization/translation theoretical frames of reference, tools, and strategies
  • Familiarity and background working with long-term care homes, colleges and/or universities
  • Excellent time management with ability to multi-task, produce and coordinate competing deliverables with tight timelines
  • Ability to co-create and co-produce innovative solutions to meet the needs of multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent project management with ability to adapt and co-design responsive solutions in a changing context
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and customer relation management software
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team of diverse stakeholders
