The Knowledge Translation Program is currently looking for Research Coordinator II to join the dynamic and growing team. Currently we are seeking an individual to take on a full time (1.0 FTE) position with the Team of Implementation, Evaluation and Sustainability (TIES) within the Knowledge Translation Program. The primary role of the Research Coordinator is a knowledge broker for the Canadian Task Force on Preventive Health Care. In this role, the Research Coordinator will work with the team to broker strong supportive relationships amongst diverse stakeholders, and develop and implement strategies to disseminate and increase the uptake of guidelines. We are seeking an individual with skills in communication, team building, networking, relationship-building, facilitation and negotiation, and project management and a strong interest in guideline dissemination. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Liaise with multiple national and provincial organizations
- Build relationships with partners and stakeholders
- Coordinate research activities in collaboration with team (including general project management, timelines and deliverables)
- Develop and implement guideline dissemination strategies
- Initiate and carry out stakeholder engagement activities
- Develop tools and resources for dissemination
- Prepare REB submissions relative to the initiation and conduct of projects
- Write proposals, interview guides, reports and presentations of research findings
- Assist investigators in the initiation of new research projects
- Assist in the interpretation and implementation of study protocols
- Maintain data documentation, physical and logical storage of records, in accordance with hospital policies and relevant privacy regulations
- Collaborate with team members on academic presentations, grant applications, proposals and publications
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences (e.g., public health, epidemiology, health informatics), Social Sciences (e.g. [medical] sociology, [medical] anthropology, psychology), Bioethics, Clinical Sciences (e.g. nursing, social work, allied health) or a related field preferred
- Master’s degree is an asset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skill
- Meticulous attention to detail and capable of independent decision-making
- Ability to prioritize and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience in dissemination or implementation projects
- Ability to work in a diverse team environment
- Experience in a healthcare related setting is an asset
