Postdoctoral Fellow in Knowledge Mobilization in Education
The Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) at the University of Toronto invites applications for a postdoctoral position in Knowledge Mobilization in Education. The candidate selected will work under the direction of Dr. Karen Mundy, Professor and Associate Dean, Research, International and Innovation and Dr. Carol Campbell, Associate Professor and Director of the Knowledge Mobilization Lab.
Responsibilities
- Conduct a literature review and focus with key informants on government-university partnerships, community-university partnerships and knowledge mobilization/exchange tools and strategies used provincially, nationally and internationally.
- Review and analyze lessons learnt from the Knowledge Network for Applied Education Research (KNAER) project
- Develop a knowledge mobilization plan with specific receptor audience strategies based on OISE/UT’s strategic pillars
- Contribute to the development of knowledge mobilization resources and recommendations for the benefit of the Ontario education system
- Support existing knowledge mobilization activities
- Contribute to publications and presentations
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
We aim to support a highly promising scholar with a Ph.D. in education, social sciences and/or related areas. Applicants must have completed the requirements for the Ph.D. by the start of the appointment.
Term of Appointment
The term of appointment is one year, full time starting March 31, 2014 or soon after. Applicants are expected to be in residence for the duration of the appointment.
Stipend
The annual stipend is $40,000.00
