*’Testing the applicability of realist synthesis in the context of the Commonwealth Games’*
PhD Studentship within the School of Social & Political Sciences/Centre for Population & Health Sciences University of Glasgow – funded by the Glasgow Centre for Population Health
The studentship will pay home fees and an annual stipend of £13,590 to cover living costs and all expenses associated with conducting the PhD.
The School of Social & Political Sciences/Centre for Population and Health Sciences at the University of Glasgow, in conjunction with collaborating institutions, are seeking a suitable candidates for a 3 year studentships to commence on 1 January 2011. The studentship will compare different approaches to synthesising evidence relevant to assessing the impact of the 2014 Commonwealth Games. The successful candidate will have an interest in evaluation methodology and in healthy public policy; they should hold both a Bachelors (upper second or first class) and Masters degree in social science or health discipline.
